Key extra gear: Harken windward sheeting main traveler car. If you haven’t fitted one of these yet, you haven’t lived.
Re-weighed at ILYA Champs, and still carrying 20 pounds of lead.
Standing, running rigging: like new or replaced since I have owned the boat. All of the Spectra was replaced spring of 2009, just as a preventive measure.
Sails: 2005 Quantum main, 2005 Quantum trademark ‘star’ spinnaker (matches the splashrail), 1999 Quantum jib.
Trailer: Custom trailer completely stripped by me in 2008, sandblasted, hot dip galvanized, new wheels, new tires, new nose wheel, new wiring, new lights, and new safety chains. E-Z lube Dexter axle. Wide stance, 5 foot wide frame, not 4. This looks like a new trailer.
Covers: Harken all-deck cover new with boat, unused since 2007 as I store the boat in my lower level between races. Used but serviceable over-the-road bottom diaper.
First place finishes at the Spring Flings in 2007, 2009, and 2010. Second more times than I care to count.
