The I 20 nationals are off to a great start. This
year's regatta is the biggest we've ever had and the first ever I 20
Junior Nationals regatta for skippers under eighteen. The Junior Nationals
attracted some great young sailors under eighteen with an average age of
about fourteen sailing in most cases with their parents as crew.
It's a great chance for the kids to call the shots. Steven Catlin sailing
with his dad, Geoff, had to listen to his crew a lot, but he sailed to a
strong victory with three wins out of four races. The Senior Fleet got in
two races on Friday in near perfect conditions.
